Hello Ladies,

Have you heard of the 'Culture Steps' program, organised by the Estonian Institute?

FYI registration is now open (and free of charge).

...

The description on their website is a bit vague, but in a snapshot, it: " consists of museum visits (Vabamu, Kiek in de Kök, Museum of Architecture, etc), walks and tours (in Kalamaja, Kopli, Old Town, Lasnamäe etc), workshops (handicrafts, cooking), trips (to Arvo Pärt Centre, Thief’s Hill, national parks, Tartu, etc) and other tailor-made programs."

Hope you'll find this info useful. You can read more at

Hello girls, great to see everyone at the International Christmas Bazaar meeting last night in Clayhills, great ideas, feeling motivated to get started. For those who couldn't attend (we missed you) and just to let you know that planning for ICB 2020 is in full swing. We discussed three pillars last night of fundraising, more details at the General Meeting; 23rd of September! Just to bring to your attention that ICB 2020 will for the most part be an online event, we have secu...red a meeting next week with Osta.ee (Estonia's NO.1 online auction website, viewed monthly over 20 million times). This means we can still sell donated products from our sponsors, those who have in the past gifted you (our members) vouchers, holidays, household items, new clothes, kids toys, we will still accept gratefully. Please ask the question of your favorite restaurant or beauty salon, clothes shop etc if they can donate. As if all goes well with Osta.ee next week, we can start putting items up on their site immediately. (We have already 2 large bottles of Vodka donated from Surakas ready to go)

Dear Ladies,
I'd like to recommend one of the Hungarian Institut's events.
They will screen the movie "Captives". The film is about the 1950's Hungary, comminism at it worst, based on a true story. There was a secret forced labour camp in Recsk, and there was only 1 man who could escape. The secret service is looking for him, and keeps a family as captives in their own home for days, the film tells their story.
In real life this man did escape to the west, and named hundreds... of other prisoners by heart in the "Free Europe" Radio, so that their relatives knew at least that they were alive. Shows the absurdity of that era very well.
Will be screened with Estonian subtitles only, but I think it's available on Netflix with English subtitles.

Hi ladies. I have a started big writing project and I will be unable to be involved in anything with the IWCT for the next 6-8 months. It will take all of my non-teaching time and likely most of my energy but I have a deadline I have to meet. I'm also fully dedicated to walking my Camino and although I know it is selfish, I am taking that time for Patrick and me. I am sorry I will not have any time to dedicate to anything for the next half year. I still support the IWCT an...d will donate money to the Bazaar and get a membership for next year but I won't really be able to come out to any of the meetings, write, or really much of anything else. I will still attend on Wednesday but then I will be out of commission for the next chunk of time. I wish all well and hope to keep in contact with many of you over that time. Keep safe, be well and best wishes
