Charity work 2005

School bags!
13 bags were donated to homeless children following our autumn appeal. 9 club members and 3 Viviann Napp gallery staff members participated. The bags were handed over to the Tallinna Laste Turvakeskus (Tallinn Children’s Safe Centre) a shelter for street children.

Scouts!
7120 EEK was donated for fees to allow disadvantaged scouts and guides to attend summer camp in 2005. 8 children were selected by the Boards of the Scouts & Guides Associations of Estonia at the request of the IWCT Board.

Charity Bash!
On October 15th, IWCT organized a Charity Bash at Café Peterson and Gallery Viviann Napp. A small but enthusiastic group gathered to have some fun and to raise some money (15.400 EEK) for Väikemõisa väikelaste kodu, a children’s home for orphaned and abandoned children in Viljandi. Iivi Rausi and her band ‘Picante’ provided dancing music and there was entertainment by flamenco dancers. We also had a lesson in medieval dancing. A small auction of art and other items was held. A few of the pieces were fought over – (but Lena and Nadia are still friends)- the most active bidding was for the “mystery item” with almost everyone present putting in a couple of bids. Thanks to everyone who helped organize the event or provide prizes and auction items.
